The British Kart Championships is gearing up for its third event of nine, this weekend at Kimbolton, 12 – 13 September 2020. The event, along with all the action from the six classes, will be live streamed on the British Kart Championship Facebook page.
Returning to the grid this weekend, to defend his current championship title bid will be Nathan Tye. Tye, who was victorious during the last round of the IAME Cadet Championship at Rowrah, will again be racing against Connor Duncan and Zachary Knight, the two runners up at the last round.
Other winners from the last round of the championship will also be returning to battle it out for the top step of the podium, including Vinnie Phillips from the Mini X30 class and Oliver Greenall from the Junior X30 class. Also returning to defend his title is Danny Keirle in the Senior X30 class, last year’s British Champion.
Kimbolton will also mark the first round of the championship for the TKM classes, after a long winter break due to the Coronavirus pandemic. With nearly 50 competitors across the TKM Extreme and Junior TKM classes, the weekend promises to be full of close and dramatic racing.
Championship Manager and Motorsport UK Karting Manager, Dan Parker, said, “We’re looking forward to returning to Kimbolton this weekend. We have some great drivers in each class and it is likely we’ll see nail-biting action during every stage of the competition. It is also great to welcome back the TKM Championship after the COVID-19 disruption. All the drivers are rearing to go and hungry for the win.
“We wish all the drivers the best of luck and look forward to presenting the trophies to those who are victorious at the end of the weekend.”
