The Wera Tools British Kart Championship reaches a thrilling climax in October as the PF International circuit hosts the final round of the 2021 IAME, Rotax, TKM, Honda Cadet and Bambino season.
Junior X30 championship leader Daniel Guinchard is also contesting the Junior Rotax series and heads to PFi with a 58 point lead over Oliver Stewart. We have a quick chat with the Argenti Motorsport driver.
BKC: What has been your highlight of 2021?
DG: So far the highlights of my season have been winning both the British Open Plate and the Prestigious Kartmasters GP, we are in contention for both Rotax & IAME British Championships so hopefully one of them will be the highlight with a bit of luck.
BKC: What have you struggled with in 2021 or was perhaps a low point?
DG: The season has been full on with racing nearly every weekend due to competing in both classes which has has kept me busy plus my school work but I feel very privileged to be able to race at this level week in week out so you will never hear me complain.
BKC: Coming into 2021 – did you think you would be fighting for the title?
DG: Yes I did honestly think I could compete for the British Championship this year as I have confidence in my own ability and I’m driving for a brilliant team who have always got my best interests at heart.
BKC: What is your approach for the final rounds?
DG: My approach for the final rounds are to go full attack as always and see what the end result brings.
BKC: What are your plans for 2022?
DG: The dream for 2022 is British Formula 4 so let’s see what the future brings.
